Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Jamie O'Hara has incurred the wrath of Twitter after he bemoaned the stress of earning thousands of pounds per week.
The 26-year-old, who is understood to be on nearly £2m per year, claimed on Wednesday that his life was easier when he was picking up £100 per week on the Youth Training Scheme.
O'Hara tweeted: "Things were so much easier when I earned 100pound a week on wts #stress".
He was then inundated with tweets from his followers insisting that he is deluded and should in fact be grateful for his healthy bank balance.
One response read: "Feel sorry for Jamie O'Hara, must be so stressful doing a few training sessions and playing 2 games a week for £1000s a week. #getagrip."
The backlash forced O'Hara to highlight his charitable work, but that only served to earn him more criticism.
