Silvestre De Sousa has agreed a deal to join Sheikh Mohammed's Godolphin stable for this year's flat racing season.
The Brazilian jockey finished second to Paul Hanagan in last year's Jockey's Championship and has now finalised his move to the Newmarket-based stable.
Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford said: "We now have a formal arrangement in place with Silvestre and we are delighted that he will be riding for our stable this year.
"He will be a big asset to our team and we are very much looking forward to a successful association."
De Sousa will now race alongside Frankie Dettori in the blue colours of Sheikh Mohammed.
