Godolphin owner Sheik Mohammed has bought a mare carrying the foal of racing great Frankel for over £4m.
Five-year-old Dancing Rain was bought at an auction at the Tattersalls December Mare Sale at Newmarket this week.
Mohammed's bloodstock adviser John Ferguson told BBC Sport: "She is a jewel and you need jewels to breed champions."
Frankel was unbeaten in his 14-race career.
