Hayley Turner has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ankle injury.
The 28-year-old broke her left ankle during a fall at Bath last month, but had hoped to return before the current campaign's conclusion.
Despite recovering well from the problem, Turner has confirmed that her comeback plans have been shelved until 2012.
"The whole process has gone very smoothly and has continued to, although I have to admit I've been slightly premature with my dates. I was hoping to return in a month but it's more likely to be three," Turner told her official website.
"I'm going to continue enjoying my time off and I'll be back in 2012 hungrier than ever."
Turner had enjoyed her best season to date with Group One wins aboard Dream Ahead and Margot Did.
