Andy Robinson has left his post as head coach of the Scotland rugby union team.
The decision comes after yesterday's 21-15 loss to Tonga in Aberdeen, after which Robinson hinted that he could step down.
"It's been a privilege to be the head coach of Scotland and I'd like to thanks the fans, players, coaches and staff for all their support," said Robinson this morning.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the players and the coaches."
Robinson's stint in charge of Scotland had lasted three-and-a-half years and he was due to remain as head coach until the 2015 World Cup.
