Wales tighthead prop Adam Jones rates his side's 30-3 win over England as the best of his international career and hopes to build on their Six Nations success in the future.

Welsh prop Adam Jones has hailed his side's emphatic 30-3 win over England on Saturday as his most complete international performance ever.

Wales dominated England in almost every area of the field as they retained the Six Nations title, shattering England's hopes of a Grand Slam in the process.

Jones, who had won three Grand Slams prior to Saturday's success, rates both his individual and the team performance as the best of his 88-cap Wales career, and hopes to kick on and enjoy more success in the future.

"I think it was the most complete Wales performance of my career. We knew how they would approach the game. We wore them down in that first half and in the second half our quality players told. It was the best performance I have been a part of and it was made even more special by the atmosphere in the stadium, which was just incredible," said the 32-year-old tighthead prop.

"People have said it before, when we have won Grand Slams we have always made a mess of the next year. We have never really kicked on. We have come first and then finished fourth the next year.

"But this year we have backed it up a bit by retaining the title, so it is a case of keeping it going. Jamie Roberts said there is more to come attack-wise, which is obvious and we have to kick on now. We have a lot of young boys coming in to join the core of experienced players and it is looking good for the future."

Jones has been widely tipped to be the starting tighthead prop for the British & Irish Lions during their tour to Australia this summer.
