Ricky Walden and Shaun Murphy are through to round three of the UK Championship with victories over Mark Williams and Martin Gould respectively.
World number 21 Walden took control of his encounter with Williams from the outset and went on to record a 6-3 win to reach the quarter-finals at the Barbican.
Former world champion Murphy also managed to secure a passage through to the last eight by overcoming the challenge of Gould 6-4.
The quarter-finals will begin tomorrow afternoon.
