Team England squash player Daryl Selby has admitted that he and teammate Sarah Kippax were using their final pool match to experiment with tactics ahead of the knockout rounds of the Commonwealth Games.
The duo eased to victory over Mauritius's Xavier Koenig and Vanessa Florens in straight sets to get into shape ahead of their last-16 matchup at the Scotstoun Campus.
He told reporters: "That was our last pool match so it's nice to be able to try a few things out and experiment with a few different tactics.
"No disrespect to who we played, they tried really hard and the points they won they deserved but we'd already qualified for the last 16 so for us it was just a chance to try a few things out."
Selby and Kippax face Canada in their last-16 clash later today.
