Team England's Adam Peaty wins gold in the 100m breaststroke in Glasgow as he breaks the Commonwealth Games record to claim the title.

The 19-year-old secured Commonwealth glory as he won the race in a time of 58.94 seconds to claim his first medal of the Games.

South Africa's Cameron van der Burgh took the silver medal, while Scotland's Ross Murdoch won his second medal in Glasgow as he secured the bronze in a time of 59.47s.

Scotland's Craig Benson finished just outside of the medal places in fourth, and England's James Wilby placed seventh.
