Jack Burnell claims silver at Marathon World Cup

Jack Burnell takes silver in the men's 10km at the FINA Marathon World Cup, while Keri-Anne Payne claims bronze in the women's race.

Great Britain's Jack Burnell has claimed silver in the men's 10km at the FINA Marathon World Cup in Abu Dhabi.

The 21-year-old was almost joined on the podium by his teammate Dan Fogg, who finished fourth and less than a second away from winning bronze.

In the women's 10km race, Olympic silver medallist Keri-Anne Payne took bronze with a third-place finish.

Six British athletes took part in the World Cup as part of a selection process to decide who will qualify for this year's World Championships.
