Luke Davies picks up bronze in 200m breaststroke

Luke Davies scoops bronze for Great Britain in the 200m breaststroke final at the European Games.

Great Britain's Luke Davies claimed the bronze in this afternoon's 200m breaststroke final at the European Games in Baku.

The 18-year-old posted a third-best time of 2:13.45 as Russia continued to dominate the medal count at the Aquatic Centre today.

It was won by Anton Chupkov, who clocked a time of 2:10.85 and was well clear of compatriot Kirill Mordashev in second place with 2:12.94.

Briton Charlie Attwood missed out on Davies's bronze by 0.12 seconds after finishing on 2:13.62. The top three finished where they did in the semi-finals.

Earlier today, Luke Greenbank won Great Britain's 12th gold of the competition.
