Great Britain's Duncan Scott and Cameron Kurle have reached the semi-finals of the 200m freestyle in Baku, with teammates Kyle Chisholm and Martyn Walton missing out.
Despite occupying four of the top 14 spots, only two swimmers from each nation can qualify, and Scott's time of 1:49.39 was good enough for second overall, while Kurle's 1:49.83 left him third.
Chisholm (1:51.18) was further down in seventh, while Walton clocked 1:51.99 to finish 14th in the overall standings.
The successful duo will likely compete with Russian Federation for medals, with Elisei Stepanov (1:49.29) setting the pace, and Nikolay Snegirev (1:50.22) just behind them in qualifying.
The semi-finals will take place later this afternoon, while the final gets underway tomorrow.
