Caitlin McClatchey considered quitting swimming after a difficult last two years with the sport.

Team GB swimmer Caitlin McClatchey has admitted that she considered quitting the sport before competing in the London Olympics.

McClatchey has qualified for tomorrow's 200m freestyle final with the sixth-fastest qualifying time but the 26-year-old has revealed that a difficult last two years made her consider quitting swimming.

"I have had a really tough two years and thought about quitting but I am really enjoying it now," McClatchey told BBC Sport.

McClatchey has never won a medal at an Olympic Games, although she made the 200m freestyle final in 2008, finishing sixth.
