Britain's Johanna Konta has progressed into the semi-finals of the WTA Elite Trophy following a straight-sets win over Caroline Garcia.
The 25-year-old, who defeated Sam Stosur in her opening match, took just over an hour to claim a 6-2 6-2 triumph in Zhuhai.
Konta stormed to a 4-1 lead with a double break and sealed set point on her second attempt before snatching serve a further two times in the second set.
Garcia came close to denying Konta set point with a break of her own, but she was unable to convert and the Brit wrapped up the match with ease.
A draw will be made to decide the semi-finals, with Petra Kvitova, Elina Svitolina and Zhang Shuai also reaching the final four.
