Jo-Wilfried Tsonga defeats Juan Martin Del Potro in Vienna to move up to seventh in the world rankings.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has moved a step closer to confirming his participation at the ATP World Tour Finals in London with victory over Juan Martin Del Potro in the final of Vienna Open.

Argentine Del Potro claimed the first set 7-5 on tie-break, but top seed Tsonga replied with 6-3 success in the second set.

The decider proved to be relatively straightforward for the Frenchman as he recorded a 6-7 6-3 6-4 win.

Tsonga, 26, has now won two career titles in 2011.
