Team England triathlete Alistair Brownlee has insisted that the course at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games suits his style and that it should be a competitive race.
Brownlee said that the course is not as challenging as some others he has competed on, and the London 2012 gold medallist confirmed that he is fully fit ahead of the event.
"The course is good," he said. "There's nothing easy on it but nothing really hard either, it should just be nice and challenging.
"It's certainly a course that suits my style, there is no hiding on it, which I like. It's going to be hard and it should make for a really honest race.
"Everything is fine, I'm fit and there's nothing wrong, which is not something I've said very often in the last few years."
His brother Jonathan Brownlee came third in the London triathlon.
