Team GB's Kristan Bromley has said that he was "pleased" at securing Great Britain's best finish in the men's skeleton at the 2014 Sochi Games.
Bromley, who has now competed at the Winter Olympics four times, finished eighth after clocking an overall time of 3:48.17 minutes from his four runs.
Bromley told reporters: "I was pleased with that and I made a few corrections again on that second run. I don't know why I am faster on the second runs than the first, maybe it's just fine-tuning.
"Mixing it with these athletes for me is fantastic. I am at that stage in my career where I have got to pull that start deficit back but my driving has been brilliant and my sled has been brilliant."
Russian Alexander Tretiakov won gold, Martins Dukurs of Latvia took home silver and Matthew Antoine of the USA claimed the bronze.
