Retired tennis player Billie Jean King has been scheduled to appear at the closing ceremony of the Sochi Winter Olympics as part of the United States delegation, it has been reported.
Last December, President Barack Obama named the 39-time Grand Slam winner as part of America's delegation to the Winter Games in Russia.
However, earlier this month it was announced that she would not be attending the Sochi opening ceremony over her mother's illness.
According to AFP, the White House has now named King as part of an updated five-member delegation to represent the United States at the closing ceremony.
Her inclusion follows reports of her mother's death last week in Prescott, Arizona.
