League One side Coventry City have reportedly agreed to sign former England international Joe Cole on loan from Aston Villa.
The 33-year-old is yet to play for Villa in the Premier League this season, and last month reports emerged that he was keen on a loan move to the Championship.
However, it seems that he may drop down further to the third tier for regular first-team action at nearby Coventry.
According to the Coventry Telegraph, the Sky Blues are poised to announce a big-name capture tonight ahead of tomorrow's contest against Blackpool and it could be Cole.
Tony Mowbray's side are fifth in the League One table, three points behind leaders Burton Albion with a game in hand on everyone else in the top half.
