Manchester United and Barcelona have reportedly joined Liverpool in the race to sign Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma.

The 24-year-old has helped Villarreal into the Champions League last 16 with four goals in six group games this campaign, and he is also the club's top goalscorer in La Liga this season having netted five times.

Danjuma only arrived at the Spanish outfit in August for a fee in the region of £20m from Bournemouth, and he has a long-term contract with Villarreal running until 2026.

However, according to Todo Fichajes, Villarreal will have a tough task to keep hold of Danjuma as he is attracting interest from many top European clubs, now including Man United and Barcelona.

Despite a lot of interest in Danjuma, it is also reported that the idea of allowing Danjuma to leave the club has not entered the minds of manager Unai Emery or the board at Villarreal.

For Man United and Liverpool, Danjuma does have some experience of playing in the Premier League during the 2019-20 campaign with Bournemouth.
