Ray Lewis could play for the Baltimore Ravens again this season, despite suffering torn triceps last month.
The linebacker was expected to miss the rest of the regular season with the injury.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh told Yahoo! Sports: "I would say it's possible.
"We can't put Ray out there until he's ready to win those battles. But if it can be done, yes, we want to do it."
It been reported that the 37-year-old has been undergoing platelet-rich plasma therapy to help repair the tricep.
The Ravens have nine wins from 11 games this season.
