The Baltimore Ravens have agreed a deal to sign veteran tight end Dallas Clark, subject to a physical.
Clark joins the Ravens as cover after the franchise lost two tight ends to injury in the opening weeks of pre-season training.
Dennis Pitta was ruled out for the entire 2013 season with a hip injury, while his expected replacement Ed Dickson is currently sidelined with a partially-torn hamstring.
Clark, who spent last season at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is most notable for a nine-year stint at the Indianapolis Colts, with whom he won Super Bowl XLI.
The 34-year-old has 474 catches, 5322 yards and 50 touchdowns to his name in the NFL and was a first-round pick in the 2003 draft.
