Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall has insisted that he will not repeat the same off-field mistakes he made earlier in his career.
The 30-year-old has had at least 81 catches and 1,014 receiving yards in every season since 2007, but at the start of his career in the NFL he conceded that he was making wrong decisions off the field.
"This is the new me. This is who I am. So there isn't any reverting back. But I do make mistakes. I'm pretty much still in the same exact situation. I just look at life differently and my approach is different," he said, ESPN reports.
Marshall has previously spoken about helping the younger members of the Bears roster in their transition into the professional game, while he has also worked closely on mental health issues in recent years.
