The Cincinnati Bengals have announced that they have released veteran running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
The 29-year-old joined the club in the 2012 season from the New England Patriots and recorded a 1,000-yard rushing season in his first year with the team.
Green-Ellis's production dipped in the 2013 campaign, leading to his release from the Bengals as part of their roster cutdown to 53 players.
Cincinnati have also cut Brandon Joiner, defensive tackle Lakendrick Ross and quarterback Tyler Wilson so far as part of their cutdown before Saturday's deadline.
