Cleveland Browns cornerback Justin Gilbert has confessed that he was "humbled" by his experiences in his rookie season in the NFL.
The 23-year-old was selected with the eight-overall pick of the 2014 Draft, but had a disappointing first season with the Browns as he failed to break into the starting lineup, and, when he did eventually make his debut, he struggled to make an impact.
Gilbert was called out by several of his teammates for being immature, and the cornerback has admitted that he has learned from his mistakes ahead of his second season in the league.
"I think last year pretty much humbled me a lot, and I learned from my mistakes," Gilbert told reporters.
"I'm just looking forward from here on out, and coming to work every day with the same attitude, love being around my teammates and communicating with them more than last year, so it's been pretty good so far."
Gilbert recorded 29 tackles and one interception for the Browns in the 2014 season.
