Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has rejected accusations that his side's performance in Sunday's Super Bowl was embarrassing.
The Broncos were blown away by the Seattle Seahawks at the MetLife Stadium, committing four turnovers and managing just one score as they fell to a comprehensive 43-8 defeat.
"It's not embarrassing at all. I would never use that word. The word 'embarrassing' is an insulting word, to tell you the truth," Manning told reporters.
The match was a disappointing end to an impressive season for Manning, who broke the single-season touchdown and passing yards records and picked up an unprecedented fifth MVP award.
