Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush has admitted that he doesn't feel he has met expectations since arriving in the NFL in the 2006 season.
Bush was selected with the first overall pick in the 2006 Draft but has failed to dominate in the league like his performances in college for USC.
However, after struggling in five seasons with the New Orleans Saints despite winning the Super Bowl, he has started to find form with the Miami Dolphins for two years and now the Lions in the 2013 campaign.
"I don't feel like I've met all the expectations," Bush said on Jim Rome on Showtime. "Nobody sets higher standards for myself than me.
"When I was coming out of college, I thought I'd be winning Super Bowls every year, I'd be in the Pro Bowl every year, competing for MVPs every year. It's been a very humbling experience since the day I set foot in the NFL."
Bush has 854 yards and 448 receiving yards to go along with five touchdowns this season for the Lions.
