Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub has insisted that his altercation with teammate Andre Johnson was merely something that happened in the heat of the moment.
The duo were involved in an angry confrontation at the end of the Texans' 28-23 loss to the Oakland Raiders yesterday, with Johnson storming into the locker room having been pushed by Schaub.
However, the quarterback has played down the incident, insisting that he is a big fan of Johnson and blaming the high emotions of the situation for their actions.
"It's just emotions, emotions of the game, a culmination of a lot of things, but stuff we will keep between us," Schaub told The AP.
"He is a great guy and a great competitor, as am I. Just the heat of the moment, but that is behind us."
Johnson has also played down the incident, which occurred after Schaub had failed to find the wide receiver on the last play of the match.
