Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne is determined to prove that he is fully fit for the 2014 campaign in his side's season opener.
Wayne tore his ACL during the 2013 campaign and missed the final nine games of the season after a solid start to the year.
He told reporters: "I'm excited that regular-season football is finally here. I think the team's excited. Everybody is eager to go out there and show the world what Colts football is all about.
"That's another reason I'm excited that the regular season is here. I can finally go out there and show everybody that I'm ready, I'm healed.
"Hopefully these ACL questions will be put to bed a little bit. Just knock on wood and hope everything stays on course."
The Colts face beaten Super Bowl finalists Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field on Monday.
