Indianapolis Colts hammer Jacksonville Jaguars

The Indianapolis Colts hammer the Jacksonville Jaguars 37-3 in their AFC South clash to move to 3-1 in their season.

The Indianapolis Colts moved to 3-1 in their NFL season as they hammered the Jacksonville Jaguars 37-3 in their AFC South clash.

The game started sloppily as both sides committed turnovers. Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert was picked off by Colts' Vontae Davis as he hit Cecil Shorts down the right-hand sideline, but the receiver dropped the pass into the hands of the cornerback.

However, the Jaguars got the ball straight back as Colts quarterback Andrew Luck threw his pass right into the hands of cornerback Will Blackmon following a miscommunication with TY Hilton on his route.

The Jaguars took advantage of this turnover and went ahead through a 53-yard field goal from Josh Scobee. Luck and the Colts responded with a field goal of their own from Adam Vinatieri, after they failed to find the end zone from the five-yard line.

Gabbert committed another turnover as he threw the ball to Shorts, who again dropped the ball and allowed Darius Butler to intercept and run it back to the end zone for a 41-yard touchdown to give his team the lead.

Indianapolis extended their lead to 14 points when Luck led a drive downfield towards the red zone with some short completions to his receivers and Trent Richardson finished the drive with a one-yard running score powering into the end zone.

Vinatieri added another field goal just before the break to give his team a commanding lead going into the second half.

After the break, Luck got his side rolling again and moved them downfield; this time he was able to find his former Stanford teammate Coby Fleener for a 31-yard strike to give his side a 27-3 lead.

Later in the third quarter, matters got even worse for the Jaguars when Luck found wide receiver Reggie Wayne on a five-yard strike in the end zone to move his side 31 points clear, while Vinatieri added a late field goal to seal the win for the Colts.
