Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne has admitted that the off-season training drills have assured him that he will have a big part to play in the 2013 offence.
Henne said that he has confidence that he can improve on his performances last season and that he will be given a chance to do so.
"I think [there's] a little more competition than last year," Henne told the cub's official website.
"They're putting me in different spots, allowing me to get the 'one' reps and really allowing me to get involved with it. That's what I'm excited about.
"My job is to get better from last year and to prove to the guys I can be the leader and quarterback of this offence."
Henne's pass completion percentage of 53.9% last season was his lowest since turning pro.
