Jacksonville Jaguars trade D'Anthony Smith to Seattle Seahawks

Defensive tackle D'Anthony Smith will join the Seattle Seahawks after the Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to trade Smith to the NFC West side.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have traded D'Anthony Smith to the Seattle Seahawks for an undisclosed draft pick pending a physical.

The AFC South side had initially planned to release the defensive tackle, but were able to reach an agreement with the Seahawks before yesterday's roster deadline.

Smith made 10 tackles for the Jaguars last season before sustaining a season-ending head injury in November.

The Seahawks cut 22 players to reduce their active squad to 53 yesterday.
