Josh McDaniels: 'Tom Brady is still improving'

New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels insists that quarterback Tom Brady is still improving as a player despite his advancing years.

New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is adamant that quarterback Tom Brady is still improving.

The 36-year-old's statistics dropped last season as he struggled to fire with a young receiving corps.

The Patriots then used their highest Draft pick on a quarterback since Brady became the starter in 2001 on Jimmy Garoppolo to potentially provide competition at the position.

However, McDaniels has insisted that Brady is still in the prime of his career and has not declined.

When asked if he believes Brady is still improving, McDaniels told reporters: "Yup, I do. It's hard for me to ever feel like that wouldn't be the case.

"Anytime you've got a guy that's really focused on working on all of the weaknesses in his game when there really aren't that many, you can see where they'd be room for growth."

Brady threw for 4,343 yards along with 25 touchdowns to 11 interceptions in the 2013 season.
