NFL legend Brett Favre has said that he has "no plans" to return to the football field amid reports linking him with the Chicago Bears.
Favre, who has also been linked with the Houston Texans in the wake of their recent quarterbacking woes, released a statement earlier this week in which he denied all reports of a return to action with either team.
"Inspite (sic) of reports about playing with various teams, I'm enjoying retirement with my family and have no plans to play football," he said.
"I haven't contacted nor have been contacted by any teams and all reports are inaccurate."
Favre, who recorded the most ever wins as a starting quarterback during his NFL career, retired with the Minnesota Vikings at the end of last season.
