Tight end Mychal Rivera has said that he is ready to play for the Oakland Raiders on Thursday.
Rivera suffered a head injury during Sunday's narrow loss to the Tennessee Titans, with safety Michael Griffin receiving a one-game ban for the tackle that led to the incident.
The Raiders travel to play the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving day, with Rivera keen to get back on the field.
Rivera told CSN BayArea.com: "They pulled me out for safety precautions. But I went home and felt better. I saw the neurologist today and they've cleared me.
"They're happy. It was a brutal hit because my helmet came off. I've taken all the tests and this is the first ever light concussion symptoms I've suffered.
"I'll be playing on Thursday night. Michael Griffin text me and said it wasn't malicious, and I really respect that."
The Raiders sit at the bottom of the AFC West with a 4-7 record.
