Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly has insisted that the franchise is not in the market to acquire a safety ahead of the trade deadline.
Speculation earlier this week had suggested that Philadelphia were looking to add depth ahead of the deadline on Tuesday evening.
"A lot of times, the people who float that are the people who want their safeties picked up," Kelly said, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
"I may look into that, but we're not actively looking to upgrade anything."
Kelly instead praised the play of both Nate Allen and Malcolm Jenkins, adding that the trade deadline in the NFL is a "little bit overblown".
