Seattle Seahawks star Earl Thomas missed practice on Thursday as he continues to struggle with a shoulder injury.
Thomas sustained the injury during last weekend's win over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC championship game.
The Seahawks safety still has nine days before the Super Bowl, and so the medical staff will continue to monitor his progress in the coming days.
In addition, guard JR Sweezy was also ruled out of practice with an ankle problem, but Seattle did receive a boost as tackle Justin Britt was back on the field and is ready to play next week.
Cornerback Richard Sherman is also expected to play despite suffering from a sprained elbow which occurred late in the win over the Packers.
