Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has confirmed that wide receiver Percy Harvin will miss his side's NFC championship clash with the San Francisco 49ers.
Harvin sustained a concussion in the Seahawks' divisional-round win over the New Orleans Saints as he took two blows to the head at CenturyLink Field when trying to corral the ball.
"He will not make it through the doctors' protocol and will not be able to go," Carroll said. "It's super disappointing for Percy — he wants to play. You can see it, he played his tail off when he had his chance, it's just unfortunate circumstances."
Harvin has played just twice for the Seahawks this season since they traded their 2013 first-round Draft pick for him in April.
