Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has revealed that the club have been in talks with running back Marshawn Lynch for a "long time".
Lynch is under contract for the 2015 season with the Seahawks, but reportedly staged a holdout last summer over the terms of the final year of his deal.
Carroll has revealed that the parties have been in talks for some time, but have not come to any new agreement yet.
"We'll see," Carroll told ESPN. "We've been in the midst of negotiations for a long time for the future, so we'll see how that goes."
The 28-year-old recorded 1,306 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns for the Seahawks in the 2014 campaign.
