Russell Wilson has committed his future to the Seattle Seahawks by signing a four-year contract extension.
The 26-year-old's future with the NFC West was in doubt over the summer as the two parties appeared to be struggling to come to terms on a long-term agreement.
However, with the deadline approaching to secure the deal, both sides managed to come to terms on a four-year contract worth up $87.6m (£56.1m), with $61.5m (£39.3m) guaranteed.
The contract makes Wilson the second highest paid quarterback in the NFL on average behind Green Bay Packers signal-caller Aaron Rodgers.
Wilson won the Super Bowl in the 2013 season and guided his side to the title game in the 2014 campaign only to be denied a second crown on the goalline.
