Tre Mason has set his sights on winning a starting role with the St Louis Rams in the 2014 NFL season.
The NFC West side selected the running back in the third round of this year's Draft earlier this month.
The 20-year-old told NFL.com: "Of course. That's what coach told me. You know, everybody's drafted to make a difference, and I haven't met one person who runs a race trying to lose. I'm there to compete for the starting job and I hold myself to high standards.
"[Me and Zac Stacy] playing together, we're going to try to turn that program around. I feel like I was overlooked and now it's time for me to prove why. I feel like I landed in the right spot."
Stacy led the Rams in rushing in 2013 with 973 yards and seven touchdowns.
