St Louis Rams place TJ McDonald on short-term injured reserve

The St Louis Rams place defensive back TJ McDonald on their short-term injured reserve list after sustaining a broken leg in their defeat to the San Francisco 49ers.

The St Louis Rams have placed defensive back TJ McDonald on their injured reserve designated to return list.

McDonald sustained a broken leg in a collision in his side's 35-11 defeat to the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday.

The 22-year-old will not require surgery and as a result the Rams have been able to put him on their short-term IR list, which will enable him to return in week 12 of the season.

Jeff Fisher's side are 1-3 in their season after week four of their campaign.
