Former Pittsburgh Steelers boss Bill Cowher believes that the Tennessee Titans have made an excellent choice in picking Ken Whisenhunt as their new head coach.
Whisenhunt served as offensive coordinator under Cowher at the Steelers for three seasons before joining the Arizona Cardinals, whom he led to the Super Bowl in the 2008 season where he was defeated by his old club.
Cowher told ESPN: "I think it is a great hire by Tennessee. You look at what he did in Arizona and when he had stability at the quarterback position, he was very good. He will get the most out of the talent that they have there. I wish him nothing but the best."
The 51-year-old had a 45-51 record in his six seasons with the Cardinals.
