The Eagles and Redskins are now tied on 6-6 for the season.

The Philadelphia Eagles raced away in the fourth quarter as they beat NFC East rivals the Washington Redskins 28-13.

The Eagles drew first blood when Carson Wentz connected with Golden Tate for a score in the first, but a 90-yard Adrian Peterson rush put the depleted visitors up 10-7 midway through the second quarter.

Washington lost starting quarterback Alex Smith to a season-ending leg break earlier in November, and Monday night's starter Colt McCoy left the same with a leg injury in the first quarter.

Darren Sproles found the end zone on a 14-yard rush for the Eagles, but a Dustin Hopkins field goal meant the game was finely poised going in the half 14-13 in favour of the reigning Super Bowl Champions.

After a scoreless third quarter, Wentz had his second TD of the night early in the fourth, finding Jordan Matthews, and Jake Elliott sealed the win with field goals from 46 and 44 yards.

The result means both the Eagles and Redskins have 6-6 records, while the Dallas Cowboys top the division with 7-5.
