Good morning ladies and gents and thanks for tuning into our coverage of day nine of the Games. We've got 20 gold medals across 10 sports to bring you today - and we've also got appearances from Usain Bolt and Tom Daley!
Bolt, who was accused of labeling the Games as "abit shit" earlier this week, will want to let his feet do the talking when the six-time Olympic champ competes in tonight's 4x100m relay, while Tom Daley partners up with James Denny for the 100m synchro. It's going to be a feel-good Friday in Glasgow, folks. Stay tuned.
England bronze-medallist Jade Jones has revealed that
she blacked out for the duration of Thursday's T54 1,500m race at the
Commonwealth Games. The 18-year-old won her first ever senior medal after finishing third in the event, and Jones admits that she has no memory of the encounter.
Don't mess with the Irish, folks. No fewer than nine Northern Irish boxers will be stood on a podium collecting their medals throughout the day. The first of these get underway at 1pm. Meanwhile, England's gold-medal match with South Africa in lawn bowls is well on its way, with the South Africans leading 7-6 after six ends. Stay tuned for more on that.
Scotland's Eilidh Child has reflected on her "
amazing" silver medal at the Commonwealth Games and thanked the home support for injecting her with an adrenaline boost. The 27-year-old sealed a second-placed finish in her 400m hurdles event in Glasgow on Thursday, coming behind Jamaica's Kaliese Spencer.
England sprinter Martyn Rooney has
targeted redemption in tonight's 4x100m relay after missing out on a podium finish in the 400m final at the Commonwealth Games. Whatever happens tonight, Rooney's still my favourite to win Beard of the Year.

and claim gold at the Commonwealth Games. The welterweight faces South Africa's Tulani Mbenge tonight knowing that victory would send him into the final of the -69kg class at the weekend.
SILVER MEDAL! England duo Natalie Melmore and Jamie-Lea Winch take silver in this morning's lawn bowls, losing their gold-medal match to South Africa. There's more joy for the home nations as Northern Ireland take bronze after beating Jersey to third place. Good start to the day for home nations by all accounts!
We've got the men's 3m springboard final coming up imminently, folks. Tom Daley won't be participating in this one, but Jack Laugher and Chris Mears will be. What a week Laugher has had, and he'll want to make it even sweeter by securing another medal here this afternoon.
Jack Laugher and Chris Mears lead the way after two rounds, ladies and gents. The English duo recorded a combined score of 105.00 to edge ahead of
Australia and Canada respectively. There's nothing won after two rounds, though, so stay tuned to see how the pair negotiate their four remaining dives.
Here, Daniel Lewis casts his eye over England's lawn bowl silver earlier this morning.
That's it from me this morning ladies and gentlmen. Joe Fish will now keep you apprised of everything that goes on in Glasgow - strictly for the Commonwealth Games, obviously - for the next few hours as the clock ticks down to Usain Bolt's appearance! Cheers.
MEDAL! Jack Laugher wins his
second gold of the Commonwealth Games, coming first alongside partner Chris Mears in the men's synchronised 3m springboard final. Laugher also won gold in the 1m springboard, and silver in the 3m springboard. There was also a surprise bronze for Nick Robinson-Baker and Freddie Woodward, with Australia separating the English teams.
Laugher, 19, is proving to be one of the stars of these Games for Team England, and he has admitted that he
"couldn't be happier" after diving to his third medal in Glasgow.
The clock is ticking away as
Glasgow prepares for Usain Bolt. The Jamaican sprint king, who is a six-time Olympic champion, will run in the 4x100m relay at around 9.10pm this evening.
Bolt was accused of badmouthing the Glasgow Games this week, reports that he described as "nonsense". Rebecca Adlington has leapt to their defence, insisting that they have been a
huge success.
It has been quite a few days for Jack Laugher and
Sports Mole correspondent Pascal Lemesre has managed to catch up with him and his diving partner Chris Mears in Glasgow after their synchronised 3m springboard gold. Read the
full interview here.
You reckon Laugher is happy with his week's work? Just look at that smile!
Olympic champion Nicola Adams has guaranteed herself at least a silver medal in the women's flyweight boxing. She
comfortably beat Mandy Bujold in her semi-final bout to book an all-British final against Northern Ireland's Michaela Walsh, who earned a
split-decision win over India's Pinki Rani.
The two British boxers could not wait to start the
war of words. Walsh warned the Olympic champion that she is ready to knock her off her perch: "I want to be the new golden girl," she told reporters.
Adams was slightly less confrontational with her post-match comments, insisting that she is "excited" to be going for gold, but admitting that she expects the fight to be a
"rumble in the jungle".
The Adcocks go marching on in the badminton mixed doubles. England's husband and wife pairing Chris and Gabby have
advanced to the semi-finals and, perhaps more importantly, have avoided what would have been an awkward post-match debrief had they lost. A medal is in touching distance.
MEDAL! More success for England in the gymnastics as Kristian Thomas earns silver in the men's vault final. He was some way behind Canada's Scott Morgan, who takes home gold.
Here is more on a
second medal of the Games for Thomas, who was part of England's team gold triumph. Scotland's Frank Baines and Adam Cox finished fifth and seventh respectively.
MEDAL! It has been a difficult day for England at Kelvingrove, where they have lost two lawn bowls finals. The men's fours will probably be content with silver, though, with Scotland's quartet of David Peacock, Neil Speirs, Paul Foster and Alex Marshall taking gold with a
16-8 win.
Back to Daniel Lewis for coverage of the evening's action from Glasgow...
Thanks Joe. Plenty to get stuck into over the next few hours, beginning with some reaction to today's gold-medal performance from Chris Mears and Jack Laugher. The latter has now won three medals at the Games, but Mears had missed out in his previous event, which he says
inspired him to glory today.
The pair spoke exclusively to
Sports Mole's Pascal Lemesre at the Royal Commonwealth Pool. The interview in full can be found by

wins her fourth gold of Glasgow 2014 - becoming the first female to do so in 84 years. At just 16 years of age, I think she may well win a few more yet...
Earlier today England faced England in the table tennis mixed doubles event. The husband and wife pairing of Joanna and Paul Drinkhall came out on top in Glasgow, but Joanna has admitted that she found it
"tough" facing one of her closest mates.
MEDAL UPDATE! Nile Wilson has won his second medal of the afternoon - this time it's gold! The youngster led the way in the men's horizontal bars final to edge out fellow Team England gymnast Kristian Thomas. You can read a full report

beaten to the 10m synchronised platform title. Australia's Domonic Bedggood and Matthew Mitcham denied the English pair victory.
GOLD! England's Steve Lewis has claimed the Commonwealth title in the pole vault with a
dramatic victory in a jump-off with teammate Luke Cutts. What an incredible final inside Hampden Park. It was a great effort from both men.
The drama just keeps on coming. Uganda's Moses Kipsiro has defended his 10,000m title by edging out Josphat Bett, who was just 0.03s behind the winner. You can read a
full report of the thrilling race now.
Joy for the Scottish supporters as home favourite Lynsey Sharp produces a superb finish to the 800m final to claim a
silver medal. It's no surprise to see world champion Eunice Sum cruise to gold in the closing stages, but all eyes are on a clearly emotional Sharp.
Usain Bolt is inside Hampden Park. The fastest man on the planet is preparing for the 4x100m heat with his teammates, and he will be entertaining the crowd very soon. A full roundup of the relay heats will be on the way shortly.
Of course, it was never in doubt. Jamaica's men and women both dominate the
4x100m heats as Usain Bolt makes his first appearances at the games by cruising over the line to hand his team victory ahead of Nigeria. If the baton gets all the way around, they will win the final tomorrow.
Tom Daley, who claimed silver in the 10m synchronised platform final with James Denny, has heaped praise on Jack Laugher after his fellow English diver collected two golds and one silver at the Games. You can find out what Daley said to
Sports Mole's Pascal Lemesre by clicking the
