100m world-record holder Usain Bolt is reportedly involved in a minor road accident, but is unharmed.

100m world record-holder Usain Bolt has reportedly been involved in a car crash in Jamaica.

The charismatic sprinter escaped unharmed from the minor road accident, which happened at 5.15am this morning, according to The Jamaica Gleaner.

Bolt's teammate and one of his closest competitors, Asafa Powell, was allegedly at the scene of the accident but travelling in a different car.

Bolt narrowly beat Powell in Oslo on Thursday in an Olympic preview.

The world record-holder has a history of car crashes, having rolled his BMW into a ditch, landing upside down in 2009.
