Sally Bolton has announced that she has vacated her position as managing director of the 2017 World Athletics Championships in London.
Bolton is the third official to walk away from the organising committee ahead of the event, which gets underway in 18 months' time.
Heather Hancock and Martin Stewart also recently stepped down from their positions following a reported falling-out with London 2017 chairman Ed Warner and chief executive Niels De Vos, according to The Telegraph.
It has been reported that the board failed to remove Warner and De Vos from the committee after complaining of a conflict of interest due to their roles as chairman and chief executive of UK Athletics.
A statement from Bolton read: "I'm incredibly proud of the work that has been completed in achieving the early milestones that lay the foundations for the events success.
"I wish the team well in what is going to be an exciting 18 months, and I look forward to seeing some amazing sport take place at next year's championships."
Warner added: "Sally has successfully laid the foundations for what will be the best ever World Championships next year and we wish her well for the future."
The Championships will run from August 5 to August 13 next year.
