Great Britain's 4x400m men's and women's relay teams have made it out of the European Championship qualifying heats and reached their respective finals.

Martyn Rooney, who won 400m gold just 24 hours ago, picked up the baton from Rabah Yousif and comfortably steered his team home, winning their qualifier in 3:00.65.

Meanwhile, Margaret Adeoye nearly overtook Justyna Swiety of Russia on the home straight of the women's race, but had to make do with second place in their heat.

Joining Britain in the men's final are France and Germany, while Poland made it to the women's final alongside Team GB and Russia.
