The USA's Brittney Reese claimed the gold medal from tonight's women's long jump final at the London Olympics.
The second jump for the 25-year-old proved to be the crucial one when she recorded a distance of 7.12m.
A personal best jump of 7.07m was not enough for Russia's Elena Sokolova to overhaul Reese, but it did see her acquire the silver medal.
Another American, Janay Deloach, took the bronze medal with a jump of 6.89m.
Team GB's Shara Proctor finished ninth with a best leap of 6.55m.
