Cleveland Cavaliers beat Chicago Bulls to reach conference finals

The Cleveland Cavaliers are through to the Eastern Conference finals after beating the Chicago Bulls 4-2 in their semi-final series.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have booked their spot in the Eastern Conference finals with a 94-73 win over the Chicago Bulls in game six of their playoff series.

There was little between the two sides early on as Tristan Thompson and Kyrie Irving cancelled out a quick start from Derrick Rose to put Cleveland just ahead at the end of the first quarter.

The Bulls continued to match the visitors at the start of the season quarter, but their shooting deserted them for the final six minutes before half time, allowing Iman Shumpert and JR Smith to open up a 14-point advantage for the Cavaliers.

A defensive third quarter saw chances limited for both sides, but Cleveland found their form again in the last 12 minutes, with Matthew Dellavedova making 11 points in the fourth.

With a comfortable lead, the Cavaliers sent their reserves on at the end of the game, but were unable to add to their score in the final three minutes. However, Chicago could not mount a comeback.

The Cavaliers will face the winner of the ongoing series between the Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards in the conference finals.
